Ever since I can remember I was fanatical about cars. It all started when I began buying my first muscle & hot rod magazine as a child. I did anything I could in those days so I begun with model cars then eventually working up to real thing in my early teens. As a young car muscle car fanatic I wanted to do anything I could to get my hands on cars; I was obsessed with getting the most out of every vehicle, so I began working at the Local Gas station which then serviced cars. Here I was surrounded by all the muscle cars of the day, and began my life long careers to evaluating the craft of Muscle cars.
At 13 I started working at one of these gas stations where I was surrounded by all the muscle cars of the day.
Growing up in Bridgehampton, I was fortunate to be in a major Hub of Auto-racing at the time. Because of Bridgehampton's strong racing culture, many top racers and their mechanics where drawn to the area. My neighbor, modified driver Dan Jivanelli, took me to races at Riverhead Raceway. Dan was the '72-'73 Riverhead Figure 8 Champion and went on to 2 NASCAR WMT wins in ’86-'87. He was also the '89 Riverhead Modified champion and '95 Riverhead Late Model champion. Having spent countless hours around the track and in the garage has given me the opportunity to develop an extensive networks of top automotive professionals including car designer and fabricator Jon Trask and drivers Greg Sacks and Tommy Tillotson. (RIGHT: Greg in 18x, the car I painted for him in ’79) It was people like this and their legendary cars, that allowed to gain high level experience and mentorship in the sport.
I have been extremely fortunate to have started my career in Bridgehampton, with its storied past of auto racing and the tradition of world class mechanics which surround the sport. I take great pride in continuing this tradition by providing Muscle Car enthusiasts with a ride they will truly love and appreciate for generations.
